  • Conflicting constitutional rights?

This is one for law scholars or judges or someone very familiar with this. Can a person use the 1st amendment to attack the rights covered by any other amendment? For example: can free speech be used to try and violate the 2nd, 4th, or any other amendment? I have looked on google, and was unable to find anything. So any help would be appreciated.

  • EBay "no reserve" is a lie?!?

I recently found out from eBay that they now allow sellers to list an auction as "no reserve", but then set a minimum bid price! I was looking at a listing for a go kart that included no reserve in the title, there were no bids. I went to bid low on the item and discovered the starting bid was $1500! For a used cart! I contacted eBay and was informed that this was allowed now! My question is: Does this piss you off as much as it did me?

  • How much is a used Cole Haan handbag worth?

I recently traded a carpet shampooer worth about $100 new (now worth about $60), for a gently used Cole Haan handbag. This Village Soft handbag sold new for $395 from most retailers. What would the value if a used Cole Haan be, if it is in great condition? It has no damage to the body of the bag, all charms and zippers are there, and the stitching in and out of the bag is excellent. Give me an estimate (not exact) of its worth. I don't want to trade it for too little as I move it to a good home. Thanks!

  • My YouTube video is skyrocketing what now?

I have a YouTube video that has nearly reached 20,000 views in two days. It is steadily gaining momentum thanks to it being a video that has been picked up by local media and even one national media source. I want to know if YouTube may offer a partnership or can I make money off of it? The video is titled "Crittenden KY Nightmare Tornado 03/02/2012". Here is the link:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emdgj7R5mfA

    Youtube thumbnail

This is not a promotion for the video, as it is doing very well on its own. I just want someone to tell me what I should do now. Thanks!

  • Approximate cost of a 160' chain link fence for a DIY?

I'm wanting to put a chain link fence around my back yard. I know I can do the labor without a problem, but I am wondering what the cost might be on this project. Not wanting an exact number, but a rough estimate as to the cost of materials bought from say Home Depot or Lowes. Any help would be appreciated! I also have the tools needed for the project, just wondering about material costs.

  • How early is too early to start decorating for Christmas?

Now that Halloween is over, is it too early to start decorating for Christmas? I have begun the process, but my display is not lit yet. When do you think I should flip the switch on my holiday cheer?

  • Halloween fog machine question?

I am thinking of purchasing a fog machine for Halloween this year, but I am unsure. How long does one blast from a fog machine hang in the air? Does the fog dissappear fast on a still night or will it hang for several minutes? Finally, will one bottle of fog juice last an entire evening?

  • Putting and pet to sleep and children?

I am the owner of an elderly dog, who has reached the point of making that last trip to the vet. He is slowly losing his ability to walk, see, or control his bowels. My children are staying at their grandparents for a couple of days, and should be home Thursday. My question is: Should I tell them to come home early on Thursday to say their goodbyes, or should I just go early Thursday and then when they come home tell them he just passed away? This is hard enough of a decision for me to have our beloved pet put to sleep, so I hope someone can help me decide the best way for them to have to experience the loss of their first dog. Any advice given would be appreciated.

  • What kind of insect is this?

I saw an insect that I have never seen before. I have lived in this area for about 40 years and this was a first. It loomed like a stretched out bumblebee! Almost like a mix of a bumblebee and a hornet! It's back (or thorax) was hairy, it had a bee or wasp type head, but it abdomen was the strange thing. The abdomen started out long but then flattened out to resemble a shrimp's tail! Coloration was like a bumblebee. The wingswere extremely long, possibly at least an inch per wing. Wheni saw this insect it was going from flower to flower. Every now and then itwould fly at me, as if warning me to stay back. Any ideas on what species this is? I live in Northern Kentucky.

  • Cost to build a 12 x 20 deck?

The deck I want to build would be free standing, use pressure treated pine. At it's lowest point it would be inches off the ground, and at it highest point about 2 feet off the ground. The high end would have a 4 foot wide staircase. I want to use 4 x 4 posts, 2 x 6 framing with a spacing of 12 inches between joists. Handrail will be basic and want to use simple beveled end ballisters. All work will be done by myself. What is the approximate amount I will spend (ballpark figure)? I live in the Cincinnati, OH area.

  • Dental work rough estimate?

I need to have 12 teeth extracted, with about half of those cut out. I would like to have the dentures that snap into place via posts embedded in the gums. Any ideas of the costs involved here? A rough estimate is what I'm looking for, not exact.

I suppose I should also mention that I have met life dental insurance through the USPS, at the high option end of coverage. So what do you think this would do to the estimate?

My insurance covers 80% on extractions and 50% on dentures.

  • Help with bug problems!?

I need help figuring this out. I recently moved into a house I bought. About a month after moving in started noticing fleas appearing throughout the house. My wife also seems to be getting a lot of bites from insects all over herself. Then last night we also found a bug that looks, from everything I have seen, like a bed bug! Are these bite from fleas, bed bugs, or both? She is the only one showing any bite allergies and we have found NO other signs of bed bugs. No debris on the bed or anywhere else for that matter. I also want to fog for the fleas but don't want to make the bed bug problem worse if that's what it is! HELP!

  • House failed appraisal......why?

I am trying to figure out why a house I am in the process of buying, failed it's appraisal because of $15 worth or repairs needed. It passed on all things but two minor items (as stated by the appraiser)! One it needs the corner caps on the siding secured better, and the smoke detector does not work in the unfinished basement. This is all they found! Is it normal for such simple items to hold things up?

  • Should I buy this house?

I have been shopping for a home for the past month now. I finally found a home that was priced at 129900. I toured the house and I do like the house. I made an offer of 125000, and seller pays closing costs and provides a home warranty. Most houses in this area are sellinng in this range for a similar house. This home is immaculate ( from all appearances), and has very little that appears to need to be done to move into it. However, the seller counter offered 128000, only coming down 1900, but will pay closing costs and provide a warranty. I then countered at 126500, splitting the difference. The seller then said they would not go lower than 128000. I only have until April 18th, to keep my intrest rate locked in. Should I take this offer or keep looking? This market is still strong in this area and most other homes I have looked at in my price range are fixer-uppers! What would everyone suggest my next move be? HELP!!!

  • How much earnest money should I offer?

I am in Kentucky, and looking to buy my first home. I am pre-qualified for an FHA loan, and I am looking for a home now. What is a good amount to offer for earnest money to a seller? I have been told that $100 - $500 is acceptable in Kentucky. I do have limited funds as most of my funds are going to be eaten up by closing costs, inspections, etc. Is $100 - $500 enough?
