I'm planning to buy a new laptop and am wondering if I should get Vista in the 32-bit or 64-bit version. I don't really need the 64-bit, but it comes with the model I'd like to purchase.
However, I'm worried about compatibility issues between third-party software (drivers, etc) and the 64-bit OS. Is it worth it getting the 64-bit version and deal with the hassle that might come with it? Like I said, I don't really need it, but maybe it would be better to have. Please advise!4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago
I'd like to learn a little graphic design for on a project I'm working on. Can anyone offer some advice? Where do I start? What software should I get? Is there any good freeware out there? I've only messed with MS Paint a little bit, and on paper I can barely draw a stick figure properly.3 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade ago
Japanese residents: my toyu heater is 2 years old and was brand-new when I bought it. Do I need to do any general maintenance on it to keep it working tip-top this winter? I want it to spew out as little carbon monoxide as possible.
Thanks!2 AnswersJapan1 decade ago
Japanese often seem to append sentences with the statement "to iu koto desu." I'm a little unclear on the exact meaning and usage of this. If I had to guess, I would say it means something like "It is said that..." or "You could say that..." or "You might say that..." In what specific cases would you want to use this phrasing? Thanks in advance!10 AnswersLanguages1 decade ago
Does anyone know how I can get multiple domain names to redirect to new directories? Right now all my domain names go to the same default directory page and file structure, but I want them to have their own separate file directories.
I think I can modify the htaccess file to do this. I'm not sure the "Redirect" command would work, because I think it only works within one domain structure. What else can I do?2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade ago
I know there are several non-Japanese who are 4th dan in kendo, probably quite a few who are 5th dan, and possibly even a couple 6th dan. But somehow I suspect there are few, if any, above that level. Are there any non-Japanese who are 7th or (highly unlikely) 8th dan? Have there ever been? Can you provide any names, links? Thanks.1 AnswerMartial Arts1 decade ago
