  • Why does my 4 way light circuit not work right?

I have a room with three switches that operate a single light. When I bought the house (I think) you could flip the switches in any order and the light would go on or off. One of the three-way switches went bad, and since I replaced it, you have to have them in a certain order to work. There are two three-way switches and a four-way, and they all appear to be wired correctly. Is this the way they are supposed to work or is something not right?

  • My headlight warning dinger dings whenever the headlights are on. Why?

As I was driving to work my power locks unlocked and my headlight warning alarm came on. When I turned off the lights, it stopped, but any time the headlights are on, it dings. It is only supposed to ding if I leave the headlights on when I turn off the ignition. I have a 1995 Grand Prix. What is causing this?

  • Is it common for "bad credit" car dealers to double the price of cars?

I went to a national chain dealership that offers credit to just about anybody today. We looked at a minivan and set down to go through the terms. Their asking price for the 9 year old van was $11,600. I looked later at the Kelly Blue Book site and put in as good a description as I could, and their dealer price in excellent condition (the highest rating) was $6300. I went in knowing I would get raped on interest, but how can they justify doubling what the vehicle was worth? Do all of these places do this?

  • Do egg laying fleas look different from newly hatched fleas?

My cats recently acquired fleas. I have been combing them daily, and I am getting two sizes of fleas off of them. Most of them are small and black, but a few are brown, a little larger overall, and have a large abdomen, sometimes whitish in appearance. Are the larger, brown fleas more mature and preparing to lay eggs?

I have a chandelier with five bulbs. Two are burnt out. Are those two bulbs still using electricity, and is it more or less than a good bulb?

  • Why do I have oil around my spark plugs?

I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.4 L DOHC. It has been missing out and getting steadily worse over the last few weeks. I pulled the front plug boots today and two of the three had oil on them. When I pulled the plugs on those two my socket and the plugs came out coated in oil. The third was not as bad but the threads still had oil on them. The plugs don't have severe discoloration, just some black on the electrodes.

What is the likely cause - bad plugs, bad wires, or bad coil?

  • Has any player played 164 games in a season?

I know several players have played 163 games in a season, but has anybody played in 164 or more? I can't think of a reason to have more than 163 games, unless the rules were different at one time.

To head off a lot of uninformed answers, if two teams are tied for the division title after 162 games, they play a 163rd game to decide the title.

  • Why is my rear wheel tilted?

I just had a rear tire on my 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix replaced because it was worn to the cords on the inside. After having it replaced, I noticed that the entire wheel is tilted inward at the top. What is causing this, and what am I in for?
