• Will I ever become tall?

My doctor told me I was beginning to fully start puberty around the age of 11-12, and for about 2 years, I starting growing 4 inches a year, which is to say, pretty decent for me. However, I was 5 4 when I was 13. It took me more than a year to grow an inch, and now I m wondering if I can ever become "tall"? I used to do 2000 jump ropes every day during the summer of 2016, and I barely grew. This year I jump roped as well, and ran miles every other day. I m decently active in terms of health, and I eat healthy regularly. Is there a way I can become tall? Even in elementary school, my father emphasized how important height is and that he wants me to be tall. Not a week or possibly even day has gone by in which I can t stop thinking about being short, and I feel like I m weirdly paranoid about this.

  • Should I learn Latin or Mandarin?

So I'm trying to pick a language for high school to learn in. My dad encourages me to learn Mandarin because he thinks that China's economy is growing and will one day surpass the US. Also, Im Chinese so it sounds like I should learn Mandarin (I only know how to listen a bit but not speak it). It sounds reasonable, but my friend suggested I learn Latin because it could help with the SAT, and I think just learning Latin helps me with romance languages. Also, he says Mandarin is incredibly hard, and that it could really drop my grades down. What do you guys think?

Hi, so my age is 13 and I'm probably mid-way through puberty. My father and I have been fighting for years over whether exercising actually makes you taller. In our family, he's very bitter and stubborn over the fact that we re all short. When we're growing, he makes us exercise tons of times. So my father says that exercising makes everyone taller, because hey, my brother's semi-tall from that. He was pushed into swimming, jump roping and basketball. Last summer I jump roped 1500 times a day and I would never grow at all. My father tells me it works because I grew an inch over that course, but meanwhile my friends who don t even exercise grew 4 inches over the summer and are couch potatoes. We were all the same height pre-summer. Their family isn't so tall. What I'd like to know is, does jump roping really make you taller? My father claims the 2 main factors are genetics and height, and I would like to know answers that either support him or debunk his ideals. Not only that, if exercising does make you taller, I would like to know what are ways that let me exercise but make it mentally worthwhile.
