I have known this guy for 3 1/2 years. We worked together for a few months at an office, then we dated on and off for about 6 months. Then we just decided to be friends, but we still made out a lot. A few days ago he was ranting about something and it made me upset. I was crying, so he stopped and apologized, and we started making out. A few minutes later he asked me a question about politics. I gave him an answer he didn't like. He stated dropping the "F" bomb at me, and started yelling. He ordered me to leave the house, and he told me i have no class. He also shut the front door right behind me when i first got out the door.
We have had arguments before, but they weren't this bad, but they were kind of close.
I cried the whole way home, and he kept calling me on my cell phone to tell me off more, and hang up right after. He did this like 3 times. Eventually he stopped. When i got home i told my parents all about it, and they told me they don't want me to talk to him anymore because he might be dangerous.
I just feel like this is all my fault. We were so close (at least we were in my opinion), so i don't want to end our friendship over this.
Do you thing this is a good reason to end this friendship? Should i tell him i don't want to be friends, or should i just ignore him until he figures it out?
