There are several questions that me and my friends have after watching the LoTR movies. And no I have not read the books, and don't really plan to so please be as in depth with your answers as you can :) Don't care about spoilers. Be ready, we have A LOT of questions, so any LoTR fan out there be prepared to show off your knowledge ;D
A.) In the beginning of the Fellowship movie is said that 3 rings were given to the Elves, 7 to the Dwarfs, and 9 to the Men. Why were the race most susceptible to temptations and greed given the most rings? Also who gave/made them the rings?
B.) What powers did the rings even have/why were they not used to combat the ring that Sauron made?
C.) Other than Gimli and the dwarves that accompanied him, how come there was no mention of the other dwarves? 7 rings were given to them, so I ASSUME that it was one ring per important leader. In all the movies, there were no dwarf army to help.
D.) How many Wizards are there. I saw Hobbit, so there is Ratagast, Gandalf and Saruman. I'm assuming that wizards are a rare thing?
E.) What was the orb thingy inside Scaryman's tower? The Palantorb or whatever? I feel like it's one of those important items that was explained in a book, but only got a 3 second showing in the movie.
F.) Gollem was a hobbit yes?
G.) The Nazgul are the 9 Kings that received rings of power, yes? What happened to their rings if they are them?
H.) Why can only Frodo hold the ring?
