I'm an Oral Health Therapist (That means I am qualified as both a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist)
Here in Australia children aged 4 -17 (grade 10 at school) are entitled to free dental care. Now my question - if a parent brings their child in for an examination and is told that their child needs 8 fillings and that parent then doesn't bother to bring that child back for treatment for 10 months and then only because the child has had toothache for 3 weeks and then again doesn't come back until the child has toothache again - do you think this is child abuse??
Oh I should add that when asked why they have taken so long to come back and have treatment done they say - just been busy!!!!! Plus cavities were small when first examined and child needed extractions when parent eventually brought them back with toothache.15 AnswersDental1 decade ago
Pregnant ladies - would you be happy to receive free dental treatment as part of your antenatal care.?
I am doing research for an assignment. If the answer is NO could you please explain why. Any other thoughts appreciated.2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago

How old was your child before you let them brush their teeth all own their own??? We should be brushing their teeth until they are at least 8 or 9 minimum and I would like to know who does NOT do this and why you don't brush their teeth for them???14 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade ago
