i have two books in mind. i read them when i was 11 or 12. i vaguely remember some details but i cannot piece them together to identify the books. please help:
first book: it was thin, with a blue spine and back. cover illustration was a black and white close up photo of a rose. it was a murder mystery book. first person writing if i am not wrong. the story opens with the detective describing himself as unattractive, middle aged and balding.
second: i remember it was called meredith. i could be wrong. it was about 2 sisters. one sister is a ballerina who invited her dad to some ballet even in the early chapters but was embarrassed because he was wearing a cheap brown (or blue) suit with leather patches on the elbows while the other ballerina's dads were looking sleek in black suits. the ballerina's sister is involved in some cult or something and does creepy rituals like walking around a bon fire naked.
ok i know the details seem random. but i really hope to identify these books. thanks =]1 AnswerBooks & Authors9 years ago
my hair is really soft when it air dries but after i go into some air-conditioned place, it becomes, dry and brittle with alot of flyaways. i've seen alot of products that say they fight humidity but what fights dry air?
do silicone based hair products lock in moisture of damp, moisturised hair? any recommendations?

I'm not from the US so i'm a little curious. why do american school students treat drama club members so badly? like many celebrities nowadays say that they got bullied as kids because they loved to act or sing.
and even tv shows from america shows this. the glee club members get their faces mutilated in year books and stuff. why is that?8 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years ago

if the probability of winning a game of dice (after accounting for the favourable conditions), is 0.4 with 1 die, then what will be the probability of winning with 3 dice if it is fine as long as at least one of the dice has the favourable condition?2 AnswersMathematics1 decade ago
Ok this is really important. Please help!
When rolling two dice, what is the probability that the second dice has a higher score than the first dice? what is the probability that the second dice has a lower score? what is the probability that both the dice end up having the same score?
how do we calculate for these problems?
