Why would VLAN1 be showing as "vlan1 is down, line protocol is down" when I run show interface vlan1 command?
I am working in a virtual network environment and I am having a difficult time pinging from switch 2 to switch 3 and vice-versa. My VLan on switch 2 is showing as being down when I run the show int vlan1 command. Any suggestions on why this might be showing as down and what I can do to get it up? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and assistance and have a great weekend everyone.1 AnswerComputer Networking1 decade ago
I have a friend who is married and the husband and wife have a general partnership. However, after learning about the qualified joint venture, they would like to make this election for 2008. If the husband receives a 1099 in his name only, even though the husband and wife both materially participate in the business, can they still make the qualified joint venture election? Would this cause any issues because 1099 was issued only to husband and with qualified joint venture the husband and wife are splitting this income on 2 schedule Cs?5 AnswersUnited States1 decade ago
I am having a hard time understanding whether my research has a normal population and a normal distribution. My work follows Chebyshev's Theorum (which is for any data set regardless of distribution), however it does not follow the Empirical Rule. I have a sample size of 50, my mean is 46.5618 and the standard deviation is 49.86. All of my data (except for one) fall within 3 standard deviations. However, only 80% falls within 2 standard deviations and the Empirical rule states that approx. 95% falls within 2. Does the Central Limit Theorem tell me anything about whether I have a normal distribution or not? How can I figure out if my distribution is normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Mathematics1 decade ago
I am looking for someone born and raised in Israel to do an interview with for a college assignment?
I have chosen the country of Israel to focus on for a Global Issues class. I will be researching the country's, economic, social, education, political, etc... information to complete a series of research papers. However, one of my assignments requires me to interview a person that was born and raised in Israel. If anyone out there would be willing to allow me to interview them with a series of 18 predetermined questions by my professor, I would be greatly appreciated. Only serious inquiries please. The interview will need to be conducted through an online messenger service (such as Yahoo Instant Messenger or AOL Instant Messanger), via telephone, or through email. I will also need actual contact information, as my professor will randomly verify our interviewees to make sure that we completed the assignment by doing an actual interview. Any help will be greatly appreciated.2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago
I have a client who bought a home with his mother 8 months ago. She is on the loan because his credit is shaky and hers is excellent. However, they are both on title to the home. The home was purchased for 300k as a bank owned home and there has been a lot of work put into it and it is now worth roughly 400k. My client wants to refinance the home in his and his wife's name now (his credit issue has been straightened out) so that his mom can be taken off of the loan and off of title. This transaction will be treated as a refinance loan and I need to know if there will be any capital gains on this for the mother since the loan is in her name (although they are both on title). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks3 AnswersUnited States1 decade ago
How do you list pages when using a magazine as a reference and the article is on non-continuous pages. For example an article that I am using in a magazine starts on page 5 of the magazine, but is then continued on pages 21 and 22. How would I list the page numbers in the reference section of my paper?
Would I simply list them as:
5, 21, 22.
or any other variations?4 AnswersHomework Help1 decade ago
I am looking at my S-corp (form 1120s) returns from last year that my accountant filed and am just wondering a few things. My company cell phone bill runs roughly $200/month & my accountant makes no reference anywhere as to deducting this expense off. Also, my company phone, internet and fax bills averaged $700/month (shared T1 lines, with 10+ lines and 2 faxes) and there is no deduction on my taxes for this either. Does anyone have any reason or ideas as to why these items would not have been included as deductions anywhere on my returns. I would have thought they would have been included on line 19 for other deductions, but after thouroughly reviewing the breakdown of expenses she included these items do not exist on there. This is roughly 10k of missing deductions. Should these items have been used as deductions on my tax returns? If they should have, should I, or can I, file an amended return with these items listed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.4 AnswersUnited States1 decade ago
