  • I have a problem...?

First off, I'm 21 years old. My mother is telling me to pray and fast ever since she had an epiphany with a dream she had. I've told her I was moving out and she believes that this is somehow tied to her losing her house in Ghana, on some spiritual level. I am not a Christian (atheist in fact) and I do not want to do this because I do not believe in all this. But knowing my mother, she doesn't take no for an answer. How do I say no to her without any yelling or arguments from her?

  • Is pregnancy a possibility?

Since Monday, I have been experiencing some pregnancy symptoms( tender breasts, gas, headaches, loose stool and stomach cramps). However, I have been on the pill for 2 1/2 months (never missed one), but I did take one pill 5 hours late. I had sex (protected) on Aug.13 and I did have my expected period on the Aug. 18. I did take a pregnancy test first thing this morning, but it showed up to be negative. Could I still be pregnant or is it the symptoms of the pill.

    Thanks!!

  • How to convince parents to let me keep Piercing?

I'm 18 years old and I got my right nostril pierced about a month ago. When I came home from college, my mom noticed it and asked me to remove it. I'm not completely done with my classes, yet and she told me that she doesn't want to see by Wednesday (the time I move back). I don't want to take it out since I made an informed decision on this piercing, but I have the feeling that she'll threaten to kick me out or physically rip it out.

  • How can I keep friends?

I have a huge problem with keeping friends because I tend to say bad things about them when I don't get attention or when I don't seem to be in their group. They may not have been intentional, but I'm really impulsive when I say things and it really offends them. How can I control myself?

  • Is it okay to let your parents know everything about your finances?

I don't feel comfortable telling them about the money in my bank account or how much I save. I understand if they are teaching me about money, but the problem I have is as soon as I tell them I have money, then they start asking for money (large sums). My mother feels that she HAS to know my finances and I don't feel comfortable telling her everything.

    What do you think?

(I'm 18 years old and a college student just in case anyone wants to know.)

  • Why do most parents say that they will...?

...literally beat the living **** out of their children if they disrespect them. I'm all for discipline, but some of the things parents say on here is way out of line. Saying things like "My child will end up in the hospital if he/she did so and so..." and all this stupid stuff as if they're proud of that. Yes, kids can get annoying, but they're human and some parents just need to have patience.

I don't know if should be mad or keep my nose out of my business. What do you think?

  • Should I add this cute guy on facebook?

So, I played video games with this guy about a month ago at the lounge we had at our dorms. I don't see him often, but I really like this guy. I've seen his facebook, but I'm skeptical of adding him because he doesn't even know my name. I don't want to seem like some weird person that's stalking him, but do you think I should add him?

  • Interviewer won't hire due to personal problems...?

....with my mom. I applied as a patient sitter in a hospital where my mother and sister works. Turns out, the interviewer won't hire me due to personal problems with them. My mother says that most co-worker and managers get jealous of them, which causes them to go through conflicts. Is there any way to talk to my interviewer? Maybe even write an apology letter?

  • Do I call Grady after a month and a half?

I applied as a hospital sitter at Grady and got called for an interview on September 30. After the interview, they say they will do a background check that will take a little over two weeks and then they will call me. Well, two weeks from now will make it two months. I have no job experience whatsoever, so that could be the reason. What do you think I should do? Should I call them or still wait? I really need a job.

  • Could my roommate be pregnant?

My roommate had sex with a boy while I was sleeping yesterday. She doesn't like the person like that, but had sex with him, anyway. They didn't use a condom, so he came inside her. She just had her period two weeks ago and I think she might have started ovulating, because our periods are synchronized. I can't get any pregnancy tests because it happened too early. Even if she hasn't ovulated, could she still get pregnant? Also, how long after your period do you start ovulating?

    Thanks!!

  • How come my university won't let me take food outside?

I go to Georgia State University and I currently live in the dorms. My dining hall is awesome, but for some reason they won't let me take food out. I mean, if I'm paying around 2,000 a semester to eat there, I might as well to whatever I please with it. They even take the containers to store food if you are on the go. I find this mildly annoying. Are other schools like this?

  • Do you think that Naruto is a somewhat sexist anime?

I mean, most of the powerful ninjas in their world happen to be male. The female characters are seen to be weak, pathetic and useless. Even Sakura, who is the main character, is seen as annoying and useless. There is no female character who is powerful that stands out, significantly. They are always at the sidelines.

Do you believe that Naruto is sexist?

  • Do you think Sasuke masturbates?

Despite his cold persona, is there a time where he can have some 'private' time? Does Itachi also masturbate?

  • Is it appropriate to continue with a person I've just met?

I was in a coffee shop and this random guy just approached me. He commented on how attractive I was and I thought he would leave it at that. Then he started following me, asking me questions about what school I go to, my major and all that jazz. He claims that he's get a Ph.D in Mathematics, but I don't see that as true. He kept commenting on my shape, making comments of sweet talking me on his lap and all that gooey stuff. He still kept commenting me on how sexy I was, which I found really flattering, but sounds like he was trying to impress me. When I reached my dorm, he asked if he could get my phone number, but I initially declined because I just met him. He looked sad, so in the end, I gave him my number and he gave me his.I became really uncomfortable. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, but I think he's looking for a relationship, which I'm not ready for yet.

Should I go for it or just ignore him all together?
