Where do you think each side, the people and the government, are dropping the ball on accountability?
It seems THE prevailing issue that is impacting our country is the lack of accountability. We want to assume none and that goes from the people all the way up to the government. I think the issues are symptoms of the greater issue of accountability. The governed have accountability, as does the governor. We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.
One of the greatest men to ever live said it and yet why don't we learn this? Indeed the framer of the Constitution said it. Yet we hold to the convenient parts of his words and not the ones we want to wholly disregard. I am concerned with what the USA has become. Is there anyone that truly trusts the politicians to lead us in a way that will help maintain the Greatness of the USA? I don't and feel we have an obligation in such tumultuous times to ensure that the decisions made are indeed what the people want. read this excerpt from the Declaration of Independence,
"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
I feel as though the government has indeed become destructive to these ends. It is our right to alter it! The USA is on a course neither for Happiness nor Safety. Who would support a revolution of sorts to renew this nation to what it was and can be? I do not have a Bachelor's Degree and am in search of a Pharmaceutical Company or Medical Device Company that will allow my Sales experience along with the education I have. I am re-entering college in order to receive my degree. Lately there have been a ton of ads on the radio in my area about fathers rights being a joke as it pertains to custody of children and such. To me there should be given equal weight to the Mother and Father in a divorce situation with the court deciding based upon each case what happens.
