It is my desire to help people be the best they can be in pursuing the desire of their heart. Having a relationship with God and living a life that reflects, represents and honors Him is my #1 priority in life. Even though I fail miserably in all of these areas at times. My wife is a true blessing and joy in my life and comes second only to God. My children are next. I have a degree in Christian studies and am pursuing a degree in ministry. I am non-denominational in orientation and believe that the body of Christ is made up of all beleivers that confess "Jesus is Lord", regardless of the church and denomination attended. God is about having a relationship not religion.
One of the names in the Old Testament that God uses is El Qanna. This means My Name Is Jealous.
If being jealous is bad, how can one of the names of God be Jealous?
This is not a trick question and has a real answer that is not a contradiction. This is a "contradiction?" that I had to shelf in my mind because I did not understand how this could be. I had to shelve this lack of understanding because I believe the bible to be completely true, even though I may not have complete understanding of everything the bible says or means because of the word structure. I believe this because the bible says that it is authored by God and written by men.
Man makes mistakes, but God does not and God's word is always true. Man tries to keep his word, God does keep His word.8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
How do the truth claims and promises of God, given in the bible, effect your life and how you see the world?
Jesus claims that the reason he came into this world was to testify to the truth and that everyone on the side of truth listens to Him.
If this is a true statement then God's truths and promises given in the bible are forever and unchanging. This would also mean that the truths of man that do not agree with God's truth are based on lies and deceptions, tools of the father of lies.5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
