I've been a stock car fan all of my life. This is the first time the NASCAR season came to an end, and I really don't care. I've failed to watch a race flag to flag this year. I never went to a race, first time in 15 years. I probably didn't even turn the tv on for at least 16 races this year. I had more fun at the local dirt tracks, Eldora and The Dirt Track at Lowes for the World Finals than I ever could of had at a NASCAR race. Races have numerous empty seats scattered throughout them. Ratings have dropped over the years. I know I'm not the only one that feels like this too. What's happening in NASCAR that's pushing fans away? I still like the sport, but somethings still missing. And I understand about the NFL, but certain races early in the season were getting beat out by NHL games. I love hockey, probably watch more NHL than any other sport, but historically NASCAR would pull in better ratings than any NHL game. Something is just missing in NASCAR that's pushing too many fans away.
