Because they are run by extremely old men stuck in the 1950s. The LDS Church has been forced to abandon polygamy, forced to accept black men, and forced to accept working women. They succumb to social pressures, dragging their feet and screaming the entire way, but eventually they surrender sacred doctrines when it becomes politically and socially inconvenient. As Millennials grow up and leave the church in disgust over homophobia, and as the octogenarians cast off this mortal coil, new church leaders will realize they are in dire straits and recant their homophobia. In 20 years, they will pretend that they never persecuted their gay children, just as they no pretend they were not racists in the 1970s and pretend that polygamy never happened. They are led by corporate hacks, not theologians and certainly not by prophets.

Less than 1 mile. I live in the middle of 2 Jimmy Johns, each about 1 mile away, and I am out of their delivery range. Every time I see one of their ubiquitous ads for "freaky fast delivery", I think "because you live across the street!"

  • Should the LDS church retain its tax-exempt status if it agrees to allow gays to be sealed in their Temples?

Best answer: This is a non-sequitor. The LDS Church is under scrutiny for violating its tax-exempt status by delving directly into politics on multiple occasions. The fact that these incursions all deal with their opposition to gay marriage are irrelevant. They were just as active in the 1970s fighting ERA, which had nothing to do with their homophobia. The LDS Church has every right to condemn gay marriage. No church is required to perform any marriage, as protected by the 1st Amendment. Its internal policy on gay marriage has nothing to do with its violation of its political neutrality, even if homophobia is the driving motivation.

Of course, 13 yos are often underweight because of their rapid growth, and you will probably fill out in the next few years. A BMI between 20-25 is considered normal and healthy. You could honestly afford to gain a few pounds, but given your stage of life, I wouldn't stress about it. Just eat well, exercise and get lots of sleep. Your age group needs around 10 hours a night, and few teenagers get that. If you are overly obsessed with your weight, you may be anorexic, which is far too common for girls your age. If you are purposefully expelling food to control your weight, you are bulemic, which is a serious health condition. Talk to your doctor or parents if you resort to extreme measures to control your weight, which is honestly too low as it is.

  • If i did something wrong and i feel bad about it, will i be forgivin by god ?

Just feeling bad isn't enough. You have to provide restitution. If you hurt someone's feelings, apologize. If you stole something, return it. If you broke something, replace it. Just feeling guilty doesn't resolve anything. You have to make amends. Whether God forgives you or not depends on your theology.

By the time you wake up in the morning, it has emptied out all the food and you have expelled a lot of the liquid. Once you begin to eat and drink again, you put back on the water weight and fill your stomach back up again. If you went an entire day without eating or drinking, you would look the same all day (just thirstier and hungrier). You should always weigh yourself the same time every day to erase this fluctuation from your weight patterns. If you weigh yourself the first thing in the morning, you will find your true weight without the temporary weight gain from undigested food and water inside you.
