I am a believer in science, but I'm not an atheist, I also believe in a God, I rationalize my belief in a God this way, I believe in the theory of a God, the meaning of a theory is an unproven assumption, so for me, God is an unproven assumption, but it doesn't mean a God doesn't exist, it's just unproven, it's the same with parallel universes, some scientists believe in the existence of parallel universes, I also believe parallel universes might exist, but there is no physical proof of their existence as of yet, and it's the same with God, there is no physical proof of a God, but it doesn't mean a God doesn't exist.
People once believed the Earth was flat and was the center of the solar system, but Columbus, Copernicus and Galileo proved them wrong, and they also said the sound barrier couldn't be broken, but it was broken, all I'm saying is just because right now science cannot physically prove the existence of a God, doesn't mean a God cannot possibly exist, and who knows, with the advancement of science in the future, we might even discover what really happened before the Big Bang even occurred.
