    Are guns truly dangerous?

A single ar15 in a gay Florida nightclub caused chaos and destruction but hundreds of ar15's gathered in Richmond, VA and not a single shot fired. Not a single life lost. How could that be? Weren't these supposed to be "weapons of war" only designed to kill?

How do I get my neighbor to take down his confederate flag?

I've asked him 3 times with no avail. The flag is hurtful and triggering. It makes me angry and cry as I drive by it daily. It makes me sick he is so oblivious to his white male privilege.

Similarly, Japan grew into a world power because of their people's commitment to a collective goal, but in their case society where the whole meant more than the individual.  This is changing however as the famed "Japanese work ethic" has eroded greatly among those raised in affluence in the 1990s and cynicism in the 2000s.

The nation is facing a crisis as the working population gets older, the younger population isn't committed to work.  Within 20 years, I'm guessing that the stereotype of the Japanese workaholic and his state of the art gadgets will feel as dated as Jerry Lewis' "Geisha Boy" performance seems today.

From what Korean friends have told me, S.Korea is already beginning to face some of the same problems.  Young people who've been raised on vapid videos and shameless materialism simply don't want to give back to the system what their parents put into it.  Protests against their mandatory military requirement are growing and labor unrest is starting to put dents into their industrial output.

Despite Trump’s many crimes, why do some Republicans still support him?

Favorite answer: That is a pretty good question. I think they are waiting to see which way public opinion goes. If there is an increase in his approval ratings, they will all be on board to ride the electoral wave, if public opinion goes the other way, whu . . . . . where'd they all go?
