  • Why can't I relate to anyone my age?

All I ever talk about is history or antiques or philosophy while everyone else talks about social media or cellphones or videos games. I talk about metal detecting or antique cars and everyone looks at me like I have 3 heads. I have no idea what to do. It's very boring seeing the same stuff over and over again.... show more
All I ever talk about is history or antiques or philosophy while everyone else talks about social media or cellphones or videos games. I talk about metal detecting or antique cars and everyone looks at me like I have 3 heads. I have no idea what to do. It's very boring seeing the same stuff over and over again. If it's not someone talking to someone about something modern, it's someone texting and talking on their cellphones and I'm just left to sit in the corner and read my books. Am I really the only decent one left of my generation? Do any other 19 year old teenagers on this planet read books? Or perhaps talk about anything else other than that cancer app called Snapchat? Or perhaps anything other than that terrible modern country music? My god, I just feel so out of place. I sort of wish I was born in Paris in the early 1830's, so I can grow old into the 1900's. Paris is beautiful anyways. But anyways, asides from my wishes, what can I do? Do I just have to talk to older people or something? Or do I have to talk to old people? (I will if I have to) I just want to talk to someone who has the same interests in me. Old stuff, history, ww1, Paris, horses, books, something. I just feel so out of place. Everyone is glued to their cellphones and not learning anything. It's depressing. What can I do?

I assisted Customers as much as possible and did my job well, until I clocked in past the fifth hour three times to take my lunches. I was therefore terminated because of the company policy. I was saddened by this and the managers knew I was an outstanding employee. Is it safe to add this job to my resume or is it best just to leave it out?

Best answer: I think Trump is probably misunderstood by most everyone, myself included.

I'm sure there were many who were entertained by his reality show and never considered he lacked political experience for the job.

I'm sure many evangelicals thought Trump was truly a conservative, when in reality, Trump is only swaying which ever way the wind blows and not really standing for any principles at all.

I'm sure many thought Trump was actually the lesser of two evils, when he is showing over and over new depths he can take us with his evil racist agenda.

I'm sure there are many who thought an outsider was the best choice, when he just shows how truly outside of reality he is.

People thought we needed a non-politician business man running the country. Then people are learning his method of doing business is through Russian mobsters and con artist scams like Trump University.

And I imagine there are some liberals who actually thought Trump could be harmless since he is probably a closet liberal. But as time is showing, he has no real allegiance to any person or Party. He is only for himself.
