Voting Question: about a chat room question?

okay so ICQ i was just being stupidly curious and i wanted to see what chat rooms people talked about. so when i got on icq all i did is log in as a "guest". i didn't talk or make an account or anything. and since i am a worry-wort. i have this question-can they track you down where you live? i didn't do anything at all, they just had a default guest login. i didnt type in a IP address or anything.

Ok, I'll try to make a long story as short as possible. I used to live in the north east in a soho college town. I had a cool apartment and a kick ass computer system. On night I'm on ICQ and start chatting with this young woman. She tells me she's going through a divorce and is chatting online because she's bored and lonely. After a few nights we end up really hitting it off. Fast forward 6 months. We've started calling each other and often talk up to 5 hours a day. I have to switch phone plans to avoid massive charges. We seem to have some great chemistry. Fast forward 3 months. We've decided to see each other. She lives in the midwest. She plans to come see me but we decide I will to go to see her for a week and we'll fly back together. A 23 hour bus ride brings me to her and we finally meet. I'm officialy in love. We fly back together and spend a romantic week together. I hate flying. Christmas time. What do I want?; A plane ticket to see my beloved. I get it. I get there and her soon to be ex husband decides to take the asshole route with the divorce. I suppose seeing her happy struck a chord. She is very upset but i assure her that i will support her. I get a warning...... "I push people away because I put up walls. One day you will leave me too." This is what she says to me. I'm a bit taken aback, but I assure her that I will accept her and that I won't bail. She' so terrific, I couldn't imagine hurting her....... Time goes by........ Several bus rides later, back and fourth, and she's ready to move out her house finally. We plan to start our life together and I spend a good portion of my trips hunkered in cheap filthy motels looking for work and a new place for us both. ....That and waiting for her.....What is she doing? I assumed taking space, but she's not communicating much. These must be those walls she mentioned. Sometimes i spend several days alone in the motels and never see her. But hey, trust has to be earned and i said i wouldn't bail. Time to do right for once in my life. Right?....... I move my stuff out of my house and into storage. Relocating sucks. But I think it'll be worth it. Every time i look at her I feel lost in her. And every time I wait for her to show up, which is getting less frequent, gets a bit painful. The mid west sucks and i don't come for the flat land or the pollution. I'm doing all the footwork Back in the east..... I'm saying with relatives and saving money for my next trip. I get an idea. I'll be romantic and show up unexpectedly. I get a room at a windham for 1 week. Ouch! my wallet! I get to the room and call her. She's pissed. She wont take my calls for 5 days. She shows up on the 5th day drunk from partying with her friends, and says she'll show up the next day. she does. I go all out. dinner , massage, and things heat up...... this is the day she gets pregnant. I go home and she informs me that we are to have a child. I'm elated. I go to PA where i stay with my pops who assures me that i can get a job and save money. maybe get an apartment. It all seems good. 3 month go by and the situation is garbage. I miss my girl. She wont talk much to me. after 3 weeks of bringing it up she agrees to a visit. Not too enthusiasticly....... She has since moved out of her house. She's become so weird that she won't tell me where she's moved, only the town. I'm freaking out a little because, i love her and she's about to have my child. The stress is mounting... I take a train.... I get to her town and rent yet another motel. Not too shabby this time. All i can think of if is seeing her....i really missed her. A lot. She said she would meet me after work. the time comes and the phone rings. She's not coming. As to the why, i dont get a straight answer. She just says "go home" "get a clue". and changes her number. I return east, distrought and heartbroken 3 months later. The thought of having a kid out in the world and never seeing it was too much. I hitch hike (on account of being poor) to the midwest to find my ex with child. No luck 6 months later. I know my kid has been born. I have no idea if it's a boy or girl.I work for daylabor agency and they have been sending me to a recycling plant. A **** job for sure. I have really bad day and I'm thinking of my kid and her. So I wind up leaving a message on her aunts machine "**** you."..... That's all i say. An hour later the phone rings. I don't pick up. She calls again that night and I answer. She tells me all about our child and after a few weeks, she agrees i should come to visit. I get there and i hold my baby for the first time. Awesome! My ex and i kiss and make up (ahem!). One morning the three of us are lying on the bed, the baby is between us and it all seems so perfect. Ok I am a white guy, from and living in America, i went to ICQ chat rooms, their romance and singles rooms (mostly because yahoo rooms suck) and met up with this Chinese girl, from china.... anyways long story short, i am addicted now, i joined qq (china's instant messenger) and now I am talking to 4 different girls who absolutely love me (or so they lead me to think) Now my question is why? imo im not that cute, and these girls imo are very hot, one wanted me to watch her sleep, so I am, watching this hot (imo) Chinese girl sleep nude. All of them want to come see me in america.. (and in the long run they want me to go to china and live after my degree) Am i crazy and just want to believe these girls are being real with me, i mean i know the whole online relationship gig is overrated, and i don't think i could get this kind of attention from american girls. Ok here goes nothing... Im a mother of 2 teenagers I have been living with their father (call him H) since I was 16 years old, never married. After six years of “marriage” and a lot of physical and mental abuse, I met this guy (I’ll call him S) that was really sweet to me and treated me very well but until then we were just friends. I found out one day that the man I had given my youth to had another woman. I went to college the day I found out, and I was mopey all day. S was really comforting and spent the day with me we didn't go to any of our classes, we just sat in the students lounge talking all day. A few weeks went by and i started seeing him as more than a friend, he had been with me thru thick and thin before and I felt like I was falling for him and on top of that I felt attracted to him because he was a virgin and I always wanted to know how it felt to make love to a virgin man (he was 20 I was 22).One day while in an English literature class we were passing naughty notes to one another and i asked him how it felt to kiss his first girl. To my surprise he wrote back "Im a virgin, never been kissed" I wrote back "maybe I can help with that last part". The look on his face when he read that was incredibly hilarious, I couldnt help but laugh out loud and the proffesor gave me an angry look. When everyone left the room we were left alone in it. I walked up to him and sat on a desk. He stood before me being or trying to be very casual. I just looked into his eyes and I knew he wanted that kiss, but he wouldnt dare come one inch closer to me. He is taller than me by about 5-6 inches and I rarely wore heels so getting off the desk was out of the question, so I grabbed his shirt and pulled him toward me. He took 2 steps forward and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I looked into his eyes and he said “ I don’t know how to…” I put my finger on his lips and stopped him midsentence. I pulled him closer, closed my eyes and kissed him. I couldn’t believe the feeling I got from doing something “forbidden” . The adrenaline rush was something I had never felt before something that cant be put into words. He wrapped his arms around me and we kissed for what seemed like a lifetime. When we finally pulled away, we just started giggling and left the classroom. From then on the relationship escalated into a passionate love affair. I didn’t feel guilty at all because it was revenge (now I know it wasn’t right). We would take every possible moment we had alone to sneak out of college to make love in the nearest motel. We even at some point tried to get pregnant so I would run off with him (very irresponsible) but it never happened. Two years into the relationship with S he bought a ring and asked me to marry him. I freaked out and told him I couldn’t marry him because I was living with someone to what he replied: “yes, you do. someone who treats you like sh*t, who beats you, and has no worry whatsoever in pleasing you sexually” (H would get off and I had to take a “cold shower”). After that he begged me to keep the ring even if the answer was still no. One day we had a fight and I told him I wasn’t gonna be with him anymore, and we broke up. That was tearing me apart but I was trying to make things work with H. S called me so many times for us to meet and work things out that after so much persistence I went to see him. We spoke and he finally convinced me to give him another try. Just when we got up and hugged, my mother in law pulled over where we were and hell broke loose. To make the story short “H” found out and made me humiliate myself by walking on my knees begging him for forgiveness, something I did because he threatened to take my children away. I was told that I could never see S again and if I did he would hire someone to kill him or harm him. I was really scared and never called or txted or anything to my loved S. 10 years have gone by and my situation hasn’t changed H is still abusive, now to me and my kids too. 2 years ago I met this guy who is younger than me. (well call him A) and is really sweet and everything I have been living in the same house with H but in separate rooms for almost 3 yrs. I met A on an online game, from there we moved to talking using Nintendo wifi and using a game that allows voice chat we have been talking for the past 2 yrs. we have exchanged pictures over icq and even sent each other packages over mail. But S has come back into my life and my old feelings for him threaten my new relationship. To top it all off H keeps telling me he loves me and has strong desire for my body and my love. I feel bad for H but theres no love there anymore, he killed all of it. When he touches me I feel disgusted. As for A and S…that is where my problem lies. So after chatting a while on a chat room I got a message from a chatroom moderator saying my computer is in the danger zone and can get hacked and they're getting a FBI agent that will protect me. I give my ICQ number to her and a FBI "agent" was giving me instructions on how to catch the hacker. He told me to get him to chat on AVI webcam chat so that he could download something. Everything went well and he seemed to know what he was doing until the possible hacker asked me to take my clothes off or he will leave the conversation. Panicked I tell the FBI agent what he said and the agent's words are "You are not supposed to tell me what you two talked about". He did state this earlier in the conversation but what am I supposed to do? Take my clothes off for the hacker ? I told the agent that it was a inconsiderate task seeing as I'm underage. When I told him that the agent said I should complete the task or else I will be arrested for not following through. The idea then hit me that he was a fake so I asked him for some sort of identification that he is in the FBI. He said "You'll see my proof when I show up at your front door to arrest you". Since then he's been telling me about me committing felony and how I was going to be charged. Someone please help me with this? Is the FBI supposed to do this??? Please help. Can I take legal steps to this person who fakes a FBI agent? Thanks you in advance.

I used to love chatting...getting to know people all over the world. ICQ was the best with it's 'random' feature. Now it's a desert. Yahoo rooms are BOT havens. No clue about mIRC anymore. Maybe people don't want to connect anymore....

You can't come in preaching in there though. You've got a room all to yourselves on there. 1 for Buddists, 1 for Christians, 1 for Atheists, and 1 for Muslims Yeah Grains I know what you mean but you get the fun of seeing any fundies who attempt to preach getting booted. Aslo it should be pleasing to Christians because they have a nice little room of their own so they can have prayer requests or whatever to their hearts content. Oh and Ftwasher don't worry I've got no intentions of stopping using this site. That's just an alternative as well as continuing to use this :)

I don't know much of anything about proxy servers, so I may be asking the "wrong" question. All I know is that they provide extremely high security and I think that is what I need. I don't know why, but my computer is always getting hacked. It's not like I have top-secret information on here, so I don't get it. I have a good firewall that came with AT&T Yahoo! DSL and it updates itself. Included with it is a good virus scanner and it always detects everything that shouldn't be there. But, for some reason, it seems like people are out to get me. And FYI, I DON'T GO AROUND LOOKING FOR TROUBLE ON CHAT ROOMS AND ICQ OR WHATEVER. Please help. Thanks!

I used to enjoy chat rooms but now they're just boring and depressing. Nothing but porn-bots, cybersex seekers, and mindless zombies giving monosyllables and dead air. ICQ, TalkCity, and Yahoo! have all been the same so far. Can anyone recommend a good chat room for a 19 y.o.?

I have been on myspace, stickam, mycrib.net, friendster, bookofmatches, hi5.com, icq, aim, google of corse dont care for the yahoo chat rooms to many bots. If they are adult free sites to thats cool as long as no virus crap or spyware crap on there. I just want some chat sites to go on cause im bored.
