I will be staying with a local who lives near the Château de Versailles. I'm looking for any advice on how to get the most from my short visit. During my last visit to Paris, which was one day last December I most enjoyed the Christmas market, and the Louvre--but found that the museum took a large chunk of time to cover. Which is the reason I'm leaning towards a day or half day tour. Keep in mind it will be very cold, so some walking tours, and open bus tours may not be available.
