Toolbar on google chrome that won't go away. Help!?

I accidentally installed "InternetHelper1.5 Tool Bar" and I just want to get rid of it. I tried going to the control panel and I did uninstall and restart my computer and it's still there. When I went to go try uninstall it again the program wasn't on the list anymore. It's been making my computer slow and I just want it gone, but have no idea what to do from here. I have Norton security if that helps. I thought that would block it or something but it didn't. Any way to use Norton to get rid of it possibly?

For windows 7/ vista:

- search "programs and features" in the start menu / go to start > control panel > programs and features

- find toolbar, right click and uninstall

After this if you are still see the InternetHelper1.5 Tool Bar then
Press Windows Key + R to bring up command prompt.

Enter " %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data " without quotes and press enter..
You will find a "Default" folder .. Delete this folder and load chrome.
It will be reset to default settings.

Hope it helps :)

Chrome users--After wasting time trying these other solutions-- none of them worked. I thought I'd figure it out for myself Here's what I did:open toolbox, then click on tools, then extensions and choose internethelper toolbar and click trash can to delete it, then restart chrome. This works.

    I got something similar to that, removing it and everything didn't work, eventually i ended up going back to a restore point the day before I installed it, that worked.

    To do this go to;
    Start> All Programs> Accessories > System Tools> System Restore

    And select a restore date before you installed the tool bar, it will then go away :)
