I just got mine done and the piercer said that it is completely normal for the piercing to be red and crusty with a little white/yellow pus up to six weeks after it is pierced or until completely healed. He said that if the pus is any other color than a whitish yellow then it is infected and you need to go to the doctor. However, he also said NOT to take the piercing out in this event. It can trap the infection in your lip. So you're good unless the pus is a weird color or you start to get lumps inside the piercing. If it's super sore try taking ibuprofen to weaken the pain.
