I know that ussually, on a notebook computer if your key board starts replacing letters with numbers find the "Fn" button and hold it while pressing "F11" or whatever key says "NumLk"
had this problem before, any other suggestions?

Find out what sort of laptop you have and google the Fn controls.

My Fn controls to make other buttons press numbers is

Fn + INS
