There is a scam going around to members of many email services asking for an ID and Password to continue the account. An email provider will NEVER ask for a password in an email for an account. Ignore it.

Even though the FROM address seems to be from Yahoo, the REPLY TO address is not Yahoo. When you reply to the email the mail goes to the scam address and not Yahoo.

Example:
Reply-To: <verify01@email.com> <--- This is not Yahoo
From: "Yahoo! Alert"<yahoo_alert_services@yahoo-inc.co… <--- even though this is
Subject: Important Information Regarding Your Yahoo Account

To report a phishing email with Yahoo, forward the email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com.

Thanks... but this e-mail came from a legit yahoo website... i thinked it is a scam because it's @yahoo-inc.com instead of @cc.yahoo-inc.com
Never reply if in doubt
First FWD the email to

phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com

Yahoo will email you back

Yahoo's email address always ends with a
/ slash
