I need to solve for t.

5(3-3t)=30
15 - 15t = 30 (distributive property)
-15t = 15 (subtract 15 from each side of equation)
t= -1 (divide each side of equation by -15)

To check substitute -1 for t in original equation.

5(3-3(-1)= 30
5(3 +3) = 30
30=30

first distribute the 5 and the 3 because the parenthesis mean to multiply
5x3= 13
Then u have to distribute the 5 and the -3t because u must multiply everything in the parenthisis
5x-3t= -15t
15-15t=30
you have to get the t by itself so u can solve for t. In order to
do that u have to subtract 15 from both sides.
15-15=0 30-15=15
After this you have to divde both sides by -15 because you want to isolate the value
-15
------=1t also known as t and
-15

15
---------= -1
-15
There fore t=-1

you use distributive property to get rid of the five.

5(3-3t)=30
=15-15t=30

you then subtract the 15 that is on its own to eliminate the monomial.

=15-15t=30
=-15t=15

you then divide 15 by negative 15 to isolate t.

=-15t=15
=t=-1

therefore t equals -1.
