Question for Wiccans: Are magic spells subject to, & invariant under, parity & time reversal transformations?

.

NOTE: This is a serious question; albeit, a bit unorthodox --- your thoughtful responses are greatly appreciated.

.

Additional Details

.

Dear Crystal clear: IF "spells will not defy the laws of nature and physics" [after all, they are supposed to influence, in some way, the physical Universe and interact with/manipulate its laws], then would you kindly explain the EXACT Physical Mechanism behind their modi operandi, so to speak. ... That's what I'm trying to get at; their PHYSICAL nature and exact mechanism of action.

P.S. The religious end, is fully faith-based and I have No Problem with that --- pro tanto, suum cuique.

Dear Ma'i: I asked a genuine question, and NO I'm NOT trying to "sound smart"; I'm sorry if my question evoked such strong emtions in you.

BTW: "Time reservals" have NOTING to do with "time travel".

Lab Grrl: I'm afraid you and Ma'i are the ONLY ones who are talking about "time travel" here!!!

Crystal clear: I am sorry to say this, but I'm certain you do NOT have the slightest clue, as to what I'm talking about; whether you have the time to discuss it, or otherwise!

It’s truly sad to see that pagans / Wiccans / witches could be just as dogmatic and closed-minded about their views/faith, as Christians and Muslims.

I don't follow Gerald Gardner, I'm a witch not a wiccan. Therefore I don't believe in the rede, sounds like it should be in the Bible lol. Back to your question, I would say yes but I have not really studied were science and magick meets. To give you the best answer, may I suggest quantum magick which may go further into the subject. Blessed be!

Excellent answer/suggestion; you certainly grasped the spirit of the question. ... I'd also like to thank you for your humanity, candor, and considerateness.

Blessed be to YOU, as well!

P.S. I do NOT give TD's and I do NOT report.

I have never heard of a "time reversal" spell, if that's what your question is...But Wiccans do have to follow the Wiccan Rede which is to not harm anyone or anything....

Difficult to provide a thoughtful answer when I really don't understand what it is you're looking for here. It seems as if you're just trying to put bits and pieces of what you learned in physics class to use.

First - Wicca is a religion - of which magic is not a main focus. Some Wiccans also practice witchcraft, others do not. There are plenty of witches out there who do not follow the religion of Wicca.

Spells will not defy the laws of nature and physics. Plain and simple. As far as what else they are "subject to"....well that would depend on the spell.

Shaman Val - I can translate what the asker has written into "plain english" - it still doesn't make a lot of sense in respect to what he's asking about though. We don't have room here, nor do I have time, for an all out discussion on spellcraft in relation to quantum physics - if the asker wants to get really in depth in learning more, then perhaps he should take some witchcraft classes.

    Not Wiccan, but....

It would all depend on the type of spell....what you're aiming for.

Anything dealing with time can fall under that, yes, and have some serious repercussions. However, things like the tarot wouldn't be affected.

    Hope that helped a bit.

It would be helpful if, instead of trying to sound smart, you use regular english...otherwise you aren`t going to get a straight answer.

I will address the only thing that makes sense in this sentence/question:
Time travel and transformations violate the laws of nature and physics. This is something no one can do, not even Witches.

Wicca is a religion that places sole focus on communion and honor of deities, not spell work.

Once a spell is cast there is no taking it back. You should always use the spirit of free will when casting a spell, other wise its called slavery, which is not nice. ;)

I don't think anyone understands what "subject to and invariant under, parity and time reversal transformations", translates as in good plain English. ie wtf, lolz

Being a Witch, and not Wiccan...yes, they are two different things, I would have to say that Crystal Clear and Mai have given you the best answers.

Why would Wiccans know the answer to this nonsense?

    Seriously, we're Wiccans, not spellcrafters.

Please provide an operationalization of "magic spells" for this question, as all the definitions I am aware of do not violate physics, and AFAIK, physics generally frowns on time travel in all but one direction.
