i am doing a socail studies project and i needed a paitning and my mom said she had a old french painting in the basement so she got it and its the angelus aka, L' Angelus. painted by francois Millet.
also how do you pronounce the authors name? : Francois Millet.

Only one original, but it became very popular so countless copies and prints were made. The original hangs in the Musee d'Orsay, Paris.

Some older prints in good condition can have value, but this wasn't a situation where signed or limited editions were made, so the one in your basement isn't likely to be worth much.

The artist's name is pronounced [roughly] Jshawn-Franswah Mellay.
