Rebecca-quiet, shy, petite, thin, frail girl from conservative Christian family
Ginger- (basing this on person I knew) fun-loving, upbeat, amicable, tall, thin, athletic build
Marcy-dark hair, glasses, huge mysterious eyes, Eurasian, very Lois Lane like
Amanda-I think the actress Amanda Bynes really looks like an Amanda, I imagine her to be from an upper middle class family, very white bread and spoiled

Mathias- dark curly brown hair, medium build, athletic, smart, serious, entrepreneurial
Ash- light brown hair, tall, thin, waif like, musical, not very confident
Terence- African American, muscular, average height, musical, smooth

Terence- Badass type of guy as well, Ash's Bestfriend, tends to get in the most trouble, secretly is doing stuff with Ash's girlfriend (Mathias)
I was thinking those 3 could be like "gang" time people like the badass type of people. I don't know if you were going for Ash to be a guy or girl but i think it would be a better guy name and Mathias would be a girl.
You can change stuff up a bit and make it different however you want but that's the type of characters i would do.

rebecca: the girl next door, has a lot of acquaintances and is on everyones good side but doesn't have too many real friends, brunette, plain but not ugly looks, genuine girl, probably into horses, small town girl, light freckles

ginger: i'm sorry but whenever i hear ginger i think of a red head/freckles. i also think of the nickolodeon show called As told by Ginger.

marcy: stuck up, snobby, another brunette, big, dresses in the latest fashions, plain face

amanda: good sense of humor, motherly type, brunette, on good terms with everyone, tall

mathias: either someone studious and smart or a kinda "gangsta" person, african american

ash: =) i think of pokemon and ash ketchum.

terence: kind of similar thoughts with the name mathias. either brainy or "gangsta"

Rebecca- A really smart young brunette girl from a posh family and goes to a private school. All her classmates dislike her as she is so snobby.

Ginger- A fiery red-head tomboy girl who loves animals. She is always out late and getting into trouble.

Marcy- A teenage American McDonalds worker with mousy long stringy hair who chews gum and goes "Do ya want fries with that?" Has no life outside work, and hates everyone.

Amanda- A really shy but athletic blonde who loves her best friends.

Boys

Mathias- A hard working (and very hot) guy who is really popular. He effortly just fits in with the popular group, but always talks to the nerds and other 'lower' people. I thought of it because it is kinda opposite to his name.

Ash- A blonde boy who loves sport and is always flirting with the girls. I can just picture him flipping back his perfectly done hair.

Terence- A background person, who no-one really notices. Loves art and has a crush on a really pretty girl. (Stereotypical I know, lol)

Unfortunately, those names don't make me think of any certain person. I've known people from all walks of life with those names. They were all so different, that I can't even begin to generalize or stereotype any of the names. Good luck with whatever you're trying to figure out though.

Rebecca-She's a sweety, kind of a soft goody goody, her parents are pretty wealthy so she's got a lot going for her. Just hope she doesn't mess it up by getting pregnant before she's out of highschool. Brunette, short haired, pretty typical but no one wants to be called that, espeically not her. She's real short, she needs someone to fight her battles for her because fighting just isn't her thing. Her favorite things are flowers and acts of kindness. She has no friends really except her cat, Wilberforce and she usually draws random pictures of him in her spare time. Her inspiration for wanting to become a verterianian.

Marcy- What a prick, she's always jealous of her siblings and tries to make their life hell behind her parents back. She wants popularity but lacks the nessescities she needs to achieve that. She tries to copy her siblings and therefore never sees her own talent. She lacks patience because she feels time when she is not the center of attention is wasted. I think she has redish blonde hair.

Color: Black

Amanda- Once again with the popular crowd, she's really loud, people like to have her around, she does what other's are afraid to do and people like that. She wants recongnition and she's close to it. Usually the first one to work or in the classroom, she's not much of a showoff. She already knows how annoying showoffs can be and besides, she hates rubbing stuff in people's faces. She has dirty blonde hair but she wheres dark clothes, pretty unsual being in the popular crowd, people enjoy her company so much they barely notice.

Mathias- Kind of a nerd, most of his friends are girls but he's not a flirt, in fact, though they've shown their confort with him, he's still pretty arkward around them. Often helping his close friends with school projects. When he gets older he's going to surprize everyone, he's set on having everyone know his name. Black hair, dark brown eyes. He likes a girl that doesn't have time for him, and never will.

Color: Purple

Ash- The clown of the group, not in a sarcastic way, he/she doesn't like making people uncomfortable or making them feel bad, they usually target themselves to make other's have a giggle. Their amazing at drawing and they turn that into their strength as they create some of the funniest pictures to make people laugh. She's dyed her hair coal, she hated that she was the only girl she'd seen with Auburn hair and now she's regretting it little by little.

Color: Blue

Terence- He just wants to feel that he's fitting in, mainly with his group. He acts tough but he hates it on the inside, no one knows him. He just goes along with everything they do and he's getting tired of it. His real intrest is the past, and archeology...if people could understand him and stick by him and his intrests he'd be the happiest guy in the world. He's yet to stand up for himself and tell people though. He's not all that bad, and his group though bad influences, has not shaped his personality at all.

Rebecca = a very down to earth person with a few close friends. She does well in school and is involved in extra curricular activities such as community service, spanish club or choir. She isn't very athletic and keeps to herself except when with those close friends.

Ginger = a red curly haired person with an eccentric personality. Definitely the life of the party!!! She dances to the local band music and swears off pop music bands of any kind. She dresses in the artsy way and absolutely NEVER wears any name brands! On the weekends she plays the guitar on the city street with her friends and passerbys may mistake them for people pretending to be homeless. She has a lot of friends but few close ones.

Marcy = a nerdy girl who wears huge rimed glasses. The butt of jokes in school and the target of bullies and mean girls. She isn't a smart nerd but one that is very mysterious. She reads a lot of books that her peers think of as babyish or stupid. She doesn't have any friends and has little connection with her family. She isn't happy with her current situation but has no one around who's interested in helping her change.

Amanda = the life of any party. She is the popular girl that others want to be. She straightens her hair every morning and has worn make up since she was ten. She has been sexually active since she was 13 and became pregnant at 15. It appears she doesn't have many aspirations but really she wants to change and get her life on the straight path.

Mathias = a computer/gaming nerd. He attends gaming sessions at a local internet cafe every weekend where the gamers sit on the computer for 48 hours straight with a bag of cheetos next to the keyboard. Despite his lack of physical exercise, Mathias is a skinny twig. He is really smart but will most likely not attend a prestigous university due to his lack of outside the classroom involvement. He has a nerdy voice and always is the target of balls in a P.E. dodgeball game.

Ash = an athlete. He plays hockey. He was pushed into the sport by his parents, specifically his father who was an NFL player. He a buff guy and a very handsome white guy. Unfortunately due to the pressure of hockey, he has garnered a dislike for the game. He continues to play to remain popular. He succumbs to the peer pressure of the hockey guys drinking and smoking. He has blonde wavy hair and light blue eyes with a charming smile.

Terence = a football player who has beaten the odds to reach a huge amount of success in his sport. He is a model student-athlete who's involved with other clubs such as peer tutors and his church mentor group. He is the captian of the football team and he is the leading scorer and being recruited by top schools. He is a black guy with a well-built frame but not at all threatening. Everyone loves him and he has lots of friends but his best friend is his mom. She is the only family he has left after his brother died in a gang related incident and his father left the family when Terence was 5.
