Tenant Moves Out, One Tenant Remains - What to do?

One of two tenants recently gave me 60 days notice of there intent to leave on a month to month lease.

The other tenant has not given notice, but I want them to leave as well.

How do I accomplish this?

Give both tenants either 30 or 60 Day Notice of Termination of Tenancy.

The only reason I would give a 60 day notice is because it will correspond with the tenant that already as given notice.

Give them a 30 day notice to vacate.

Since they only have a month to month then just give the other roommate notice too. When a tenant is on a month to month you do not have to have a reason to give notice. Just make sure you give them the appropriate # of days as required by your states law.
