A BA in Criminology, Philosophy, History, or Political Science couldn't hurt. General Studies is also a good option. Check with your local police academy to see what they require. You don't want any more loan debt than you need.

Police Departments don't care what degree you get, as long as it's from an accredited school.

So take whatever you like (this will help keep your grades up). I know cops with degrees in Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Law, English, and Philosophy.

Study what you want so you can have a second career when you retire from the PD. Make sure you some computer courses. Databases are all the rage..
