Have you received your First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit?

My husband and I purchased our home in January 2009. We amended our 2008 Tax Return and sent it in claiming the tax credit on July 21. We received a letter in September requesting our closing contract. We received another letter saying the received our documents and we should hear back soon. I was just wondering your experience with this. When did you send yours in? Have you received it? What all did you have to go through? Thanks in advance!

you get the credit when you file your 2009 1040 with form 5405, unless you want to waste more time and amend your 2008 return

How long since the LAST letter? The IRS allows 60 days on all correspondence. (Due to fraud, the IRS had to ask for the closing statements, but didn't update the forms to say so.)
