Are Iphone and Ipod Touch the same size?

I want to buy a ipod touch and i would like a case but I saw really cool ones but it said xxx iphone skin
are they the same size? if not is there a ipod touch

The iPod Touch and the iPhone are different sizes.

iPod:
Height:4.3 inches (110 mm)
Width:2.4 inches (61.8 mm)
Depth:0.33 inch (8.5 mm)
Weight:4.05 ounces (115 grams)

iPhone:
Height: 4.5 inches (115.5 mm)
Width: 2.4 inches (62.1 mm)
Depth: 0.48 inch (12.3 mm)
Weight: 4.8 ounces (135 grams)

The flat surface area is the same, However, the overall housing of the iphone is thicker than the ipod touch. Which is do to the fact that it requires more guts to operate as a phone/camera. The difference in width is not substantial. It probably wont fit it perfectly but it would most likely work. But do you want a slot cut out for the camera and ports when the touch doesn't have those things?

it depends on how big your hands are. if you have big hands, both the iPhone and touch will seem smaller.
