Would it be possible that my wife gets a tourist visa to the USA if she's pregnant?

My wife & I live in Canada (Montreal), we are permanent residents & have applied for the citizenship, meaning we will become Canadian citizens very soon. My wife is 5 months pregnant with our 1st child & we decided to enjoy our our last months as much as we can before the little one comes, so we want to go on a 3 day vacation to Las Vegas(on christmas) so by then she will be 6 months pregnant. We are absolutely not intending to have our baby in the states, we want the visa for its true purpose, however am worried that our visa gets rejected because the officer might think that my wife wants to deliver in the states so the baby would get the american citizinship (which is untrue). we already have an appointment for Dec10th, but I'd rather not pay 130$x2 non refundable application fee for nothing, if i already know that the visa will inevitably gets rejected.

Although our citizenship applications are in process, as long as we're not canadian citizens yet, we will still need a visa to enter the united states.
Regarding taking the vacation in Canada, there's nothing much to see in canada in december except for snow, which is something that i don't want to see anymore. Vancouver is the only relatively warm place in december, but we've lived there for 1.5 years before, so there's nothing new to discover, the reason we chose Las vegas is because of the nice warm weather, affordable packages + a little gambling hoping we could win the jackpot :D

They won't care about a prgnacy at 6 months. What they care about is that you will leave after a certain time.

Basically significant ties in Canada.... you have a kife there so no reason to stay.

Proof that you have applied for citizenship would work if you hit a snag. Or you could add in paystub, homeowner or lease proof, bank statements and all sorts of things.

I guess you actually need a visa now. Once you are Canadians you will not need the visas.

Seems kind of risky if she looks very pregnant the US might refuse. Why not go somewhere in Canada - Vancouver is really nice :)

If you are still American citizens I don't see why you can't just go for a visit, providing you have passports. Or does Canadian immigration have restrictions for travel when your citizenship is pending?

I came to the USA on a visa, have applied for adjustment of status, but I cannot leave the USA until I receive my "advance parole" (travel document).

Find a good immigration lawyer for a consultation, who is up to date on the laws. They will give you the best advice.

I suggest that u take all the necessary documents shows that u r going to be a canadian citizen with u in that appointment. As far as I know one of the main reason that they reject these kind of matters is that the baby may hurt during the flight ,,but all in all it definitely worth a try ,,,so go for it without hesitation

It is not a good idea to go as she will most likely be refused for the precise reason you mention.

And yes you do need a tourist visa if you are not from a VWP country.

You can always visit some other part of Canada.

Yes she should get the visa as she wont be that far gone in her pregnancy.
