Without actually knowing you or the specifics of the situation it is difficult to say why you are having these feelings. You seem to have a good handle on why you are angry when you describe what happened as "unfair" and that the proper procedures were not followed. As to why you are sad, that could be one of many things.
It could be that you are disillusioned with the system, feeling that your belief in the process has now been undermined since you see yourself as being unfairly detained.
You might feel sad because you wanted better for yourself, that this situation represents a failure in your attempt to achieve a desired goal.
The sadness may stem from a sense of shame. Since being detained is a formalized process, your situation will now be on record for all to see therefore causing you to feel ashamed knowing that other people will now know that you violated some of the rules and regulations of the society you live within.
It is important to keep in mind that this single instance is not the defining point of your life and that sometimes good people do bad things.
