Why NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are contraindicated for asthmatic condition.?

It's a common mistake which is quite widespread among doctors. It's not a contra-indication; It's a precaution. If ur allergic to NSAIDs, giving an NSAID (especially an IM like Voltaren) will cause a severe anaphylactic reaction. If ur not allergic, it's OK to take an NSAID.

I was told that NSAIDS increase the chances of growing polyps in the nostrils thus causing more breathing difficulty than needed. This was advice from a lung specialist back in the late 70's, early 80's when my daughter was diagnosed with asthma.
