Can I ban my husband from the delivery room?

He is verbally abusive towards me and I am tired of it, just now he called me a ***** over the phone. We are not living together right now, I am due next month but I don't want or need him in there at all.

If you don't contact him when you go into labor, he won't even know you're giving birth. As the other posters said, tell your doctor and nurses you do not want to have him near you. They'll take it from there.
Also, due to HIPAA (privacy act), you get to tell the hospital if you want your information to be given to people who call. If you say no, the hospital is forbidden to say if you are even a patient there, let alone anything else.

yes, rhe doctor and the hospital is required to consent to the patients wishes.
