What did the Obama administration know about Major Hasan and when did they know it?

It's now apparent that BOTH the FBI and CIA were aware of this man's ideology and his attempts to contact al Qaeda. It's also apparent that he attended the same mosque as at least 3 of the 9-11 hijackers back in 2001.

Why is the administration refusing to allow congress to be briefed?

Appears they knew a lot about him and weren't too concerned. The guy was possible a sleeper and felt it was his time to step forward when he realized he was about to be sent out.

The administration is paralyzed by political correctness. Like a rotting fish, this paralysis starts a the head and works its way down. The left is now yapping about a potential "open season on Muslims" by genuine Americans. This yapping is used to cover their complicity in ignoring Hasan.

I doubt if Obama was personally aware of it. However, his policies and what Eric Holder are doing are ridiculous to the welfare of the nation, our intelligence agencies hands are tied. They are afraid of being prosecuted and they are being made impotent. My fear is this is the 1st in many incidents that will show the damage Obama and his cabinet and administration are doing to the nation.

What is the chances that a religious person isn't going to contact a religious leader?

Do you honestly think Obama is briefed every time someone of interest farts in this country? That is why there are the FBI and CIA. THEY are supposed to recognize and investigate targets, not Obama.
I guarantee you a dime to a dollar that right now there are no less than 2 dozen individuals and groups that has the FBI's and CIA's attention at a heightened level right this very minute. Are they supposed to wake the president up and inform him if one of these people walks down to the local church?
Talk about guilty by association. This man went to the same mosque as 3 of the 9/11 attackers. So does this mean that we should start investigating church members of any and all major criminals in this country, just to make sure no one else in the congregation is of the same mind?
Until there is proof that this man was indeed a sleeper cell, that this was indeed a terrorist attack, then I reserve judgment.
Yes what he did was god awful. Am I going to point fingers at the man because he was Muslim? No.
