CIA Intelligence/Agent Career?

Would it be a better path to go to grad school and get a masters in security studies or go into the armed forces, go through officer training and get the experience? I've talk to people who have followed the first path, but said they feel like they were at a disadvantage trying to get recruited out of college... Any other opinions?

It's all about who you know, and what you really want. The armed forces will give you excellent experience but there are many who prefer not to join the armed forces.

The armed forces isn't for everyone and there are plenty of ways to earn this experience. Always get your education first. If you want to join the armed forces AFTER you get your Master's then GREAT.

However, once you earn your Master's, you'll find many doors opening for you. Always choose education first, make the rest of your choices later.
