who likes abortion,and who doesnt like abortion and why not?
({{i personally dont like abortion because it's a badd thing giving uhp your kidd but then what if you dont have enough money,support,love or even time to take care of that child?but the other question is why did you have sex if you didnt have enough money,support,love or even time to take care of that child?.....I only agree if you had ben raped.

I'm pro-choice.

I don't "like" abortion. I think the best outcome for a pregnancy is for the mother to carry to term and raise her baby. Abortion should be a last resort, not treated like a form of birth control. It's not something that should be taken lightly, or assumed to invariably be without consequences for the pregnant woman, because some women do experience both medical and psychological complications. Termination of a pregnancy should not be pitched to women as always an easy way out.

That said, I think women do need safe and legal options to end pregnancies they can't or won't carry to term. I think abortion needs to be available. Women need to have control over their own bodies and their own lives.

I'm pro-CHOICE. Not pro-abortion. I dislike that abortion is ever necessary-- I wish all pregnancies were wanted and cherished pregnancies. Since that isn't the case, women need to have the choice.

Very few people actually LIKE abortion. They may choose to support a woman's legal right to choose, but that doesn't mean they are like "yeah! Lets all go get an abortion!!!!"

Im against it because if you would go that far then why did you make such a wrong choice anyways because its mostly teens and underage people doing it. Think before your actions. I think all babies deserve to have a life so stop being selfish and wait till your responsible enough to care for a baby of your own

I'm against it. I think it is irresponsible to sleep around then get an abortion because it is convenient. The fetus has just as much right to life as anyone else on this planet. To take it away is extremely selfish. Also if you can't take care of a child there is adoption. I hate how people say adoption is wrong or the adopted kids are always unhappy. I'm adopted and perfectly happy with what I have and who I am. I could care less about my birth mother but I'm glad she didn't abort me. What determines a child's happiness is their upbringing and how the birth parents handle the adoption process. Of course if you just hand your kid off to the feds the kid is going to be unhappy. But if the mother takes the time to find parents for the kid and makes sure they are a good home the child ends up happy or at least satisfied. It's not that difficult and if the mother doesn't have the time that's what adoption layers are for. I think aborting a fetus because of a woman's selfish mistake is cruel and heartless. Personally I think they should make abortion harder to get, like when my mother was growing up. Maybe then people would second guess having sex and unprotected sex. You know the STD and AID's rate would probably go down too if we changed it to where a woman could only get an abortion if she was raped.

Nobody LIKES abortion. What a stupid question to ask. I am glad that legal, safe abortion is available for those who need or choose to use it.

Birth control is not 100% effective. Some people choose abortion because their circumstances have changed or because of medical issues or fetal health issues.

There already are not enough homes for the children who are already here. There are certainly not enough people to adopt them. I don't see the number of abortions going down significantly until we have a male birth control shot.

Many prolifers are in it for the politics. They don't give a crap about the child once it is here. The words 'social responsibility' doesn't exist for them. Babies are puppies to be adopted out to the highest bidder. My comments are not directed to those prolifers who actually walk their talk and HELP those who chose not to abort after their children are born. Shame they aren't around to help when the kid is 3.

Abortion is a woman's choice and right.
I have never been in a situation of needing an abortion so I do not know how I "truly" feel about it.

If you don't have money, support, love or time to give to the child, don't make him/her pay for your stupidity. Give birth to the baby and give it up for adoption to a loving couple who have been waiting for years to have a child in their home. They DO have money, support, love and time to give to a child. Abortion is a sin and it's selfish. There are so many thousands of wonderful couples out there waiting to adopt, there's no excuse for someone to have an abortion.

I counseled women for over 10 years that were considering having an abortion, and I can tell you that not many of them would say that they liked abortion. Most of them said that they had no other choice. However, there were some that I actually remembered saying, I have had several,and I feel no remorse at all, so that sounds like they like it. I HATE ABORTION. There is not many things that I will say that I literally hate, but this is one. 4,000 women a die in America alone, have abortions. Even in the case of rape, why take the life of the child. He/she is not the guilty party here, the man is. Only about 3% of all abortions are because of rape and health of mom combined. The rest of the abortions about 97% are just because the woman does not want the child. Why do people have sex if they cannot raise a child? Because they are selfish and only think of the pleasure of sex for the moment. People will also say use birth control when you don't want a child. I can't even count how many women have told me that they were on birth control when they got pregnant. There are more babies that have died in abortion over the past 30 years then have died in any holocaust known to man. SAD!

EDIT- normally I don't care how many thumbs down I get, but I can tell you this, it saddens my heart that someone would give someone a thumb down for hating abortion.

That part would make sense if you was referring to adoption not abortion.

However on the question of abortion I am pro life but it's not my place to tell someone not to have an abortion all I could do would be suggest options. Having said that I know what it is like to be pregnant and single after splitting from the father of my child. I wanted to parent but was coerced into surrendering so had I known what would happen I would have aborted or done a disappearing act so I couldn't be coerced into surrendering.

In all honesty, I do not judge people on what they believe. My opinion though is if you are old enough to have sexual relations then you are old enough to pay the consequences.
I do also feel that if someone becomes pregnant through rape of if the child is severely deformed and would have not quality of life then they should be allowed to have an abortion.
Too many people use abortion as a form of birth control.
Why is it alright for someone to have an abortion (which is killing a living thing), but it is horrible for a person to try to do away with a newborn. The later we tend to judge more.
But like I said, I know many people who have had abortions and that was their decision, just not what I agree with.

Thank the Gods and Goddesses that abortion became legal, still is and is an option for a pg woman to avail herself of. No woman should be *forced* to remain pg, if that is not her choice to do so. i dont think anyone 'likes' abortion - that would be a bit weird...and sick. but i am against it. i think that there are so many ways of preventing an unwanted pregnancy these days it is totally irresponsible and stupid to get pregnant esp if u are an adult. as an adoptee i know adoption isnt perfect but i do think its a better alternative than killing the child/foetus who only gets one chance at life and its taken away from them
for those who say that adoption and abortion arent related, i think they are, when someone finds out they are pregnant and doesnt want to keep the baby, they have the choice of both at the beginning of it all. some people say that they would rather have been aborted than adopted - im not undermining whatever u have experienced, but not all people will feel that way, iv suffered from being adopted but i also love life and am determined to make mine a good one. i dont think anyone should be able to choose who lives and dies, especially a mother and her child, yes its her body and her choice, it was her choice (unless she was raped) to have sex with her body, but the child/foetus inside her is a being in itself, with a unique dna structure and the potential to develop into a fully functioning human being. so i think its wrong to abort a baby at any stage of pregnancy but ESPECIALLY in the later stages of pregnancy.

at the same time, i am aware of course that unwanted pregnancies occur and i suppose that legal abortions are the better of two evils when compared to backstreet abortions that cause harm to the mother and leave the baby permanently disabled or something. but i will never change my mind on abortion. ever. and im glad its still illegal here in ireland.
