Will Yahoo! contact the bad guy who is stealing the content of a closed group?

There is a guy who has subscribed to one of my closed (eg. you must be a member to read the posts) Yahoo! group and he is displaying the messages on his website. He showing the message content and the email address of the sender.

Since he does that on his personal website, next to some Google Ads by the way, will Yahoo! Groups management team email him telling him to stop if I ask them ?

Thank you

you'd need to contact the web site host and report it there, what some people do is RSS feed group posts to their web sites. remove that member from your group. It is a TOS violation to

11) You cannot re-post or re-transmit content that belongs to another user without that user's permission. A Groups owner or moderator (or any other user) cannot re-post or re-transmit Groups content to any other site unless the person has the explicit permission of every group member whose content is being re-posted or re-transmitted.

post the above and see if it shows up on that site. to figure out who the guy is, scroll to the first post posted from your group to that site, and match it to the date of a new member- if posts are going to the site as they're posted- as you delete a possible member, send a test post and go check the site. if it posted, you have to keep removing members until you find where a test post

First don't tell Yahoo yet.To catch this guy out don't let on yet that you are aware of his activities. If you know he is putting stuff on his website from the group there is a good chance he is breaking the law somewhere If you are the moderator of this group stay alert however if you are not the moderator check that the moderator is still active because if he or she is no longer active then the group is wide open. What he is doing might be undermining your group and in fact he is opening up the sender to the possibility of hostile emails. Why don't you spend some money and get a legal opinion?Yahoo are pretty good but they can't perform miracles they may be able to do something but this guy might be going well beyond Yahoo guidelines.
