Am i allowed to study abroad when i didnt receive my greencard for USA yet?

Question

So i dont have a greencard yet. Im in the last stage of the greencard process though but i have no idea when i'll get it.
And im gonna go to college soon so i was wondering if im allowed to study abroad when i dont have a us greencard?
the major i want requires study abroad too.

Ofcourse Im here Legally.
Ppl come to america with Visas. Greencard is something you have to apply for while you're on visa.
And i had a visa now im past that stage i have something else called adjustment of status.
Thats what you call the last step to getting a greencard (the one that takes the longest time)
I just want to study abroad for one academic year.

And i want to study abroad when i enter college.

i dont know if i can study abroad even when i go to college cuz i dont have a greencard yet. Thats why im asking here if anyone knows.
And guys, if you dont know anything about greencards and such, dont answer. cuz i get dumb questions like "are you legally here?" Ofcourse im legally here. like i said, no one receives a greencard in order to enter america, they receive a Visa first.

If you leave you may not get back in

You will need a greencard or a student visa.Are you here legally? If not,don't leave the country until you have permission or else you will not be able to re-enter the US.Why not wait till you get your greencard to study abroad?? Go to school here for now.You can study abroad at anytime during your college studies.
