If god is just a concept, why should any kind of organized religion make sense ?

Why do people waste time and money on concepts some one else created, other humans i mean.

Belief might make people feel better, but doesn't it just defy logic ?What is better, happiness in mass-delusion, or true blank truth ?

Because a believer doesn't possess the logic it takes to see how every other ancient myth is indistinguishable from their own delusion. They think only the other religions are wasting their time and money on concepts, but they are worshiping the real God because they just happened to be born to the right parents that told them so.

Edit: I'd take the cold hard truth over a warm and fuzzy delusion any day, because it is real and I want to live in the real world, not some imaginary fantasy land. Not to mention I'm saving 10% of my hard earned money, lol.

It doesn't make any sense to believe in a Sky Daddy or that the whole of creation was made by him in 7 days or that all of us came from Adam and Eve.

It gives people comfort and a sense of security to do what everyone else is doing. You increase your chances of survival by behaving as the other organisms in your own species, so that may be a reason why people act that way.

You might be better at answering your own question. After all it is you finding happiness in delusion.
You choose to believe a concept from men with blind minds. They claim its logical and true but how would they know? They are blind to God.

Look up the movie "Religulous". It's hilarious. A stand up comedian basically goes around debunking every religion and challenging people to justify their beliefs. They get soooo mad!

If there was a God, which I doubt, it would be so incredibly complex, that any attempt to describe or define it in a book of scripture is totally laughable.

    Therefore 'any' religion is laughable.

    Happiness in The Truth !

Jesus says He is the way, The Truth and the Life!

He is a lair and a madman or He is God!

Any God will do is a lie according to Jesus!

    So What is the point!

That is every ones problem to solve.

Beating your chest or sticking your head in the ground does not change the inevitable.

God is not just a concept for most people.
The 'truth' you speak of is subjective.

Why do you think God is illogical? There are actually several logical arguments for the necessity of God's existence (eg the ontological argument and the "uncaused cause" argument). Do you have logically coherent refutations of these, or are you just resorting to name-calling in place of substantive debate.

You bring up to good points, so lets look at them in a world ruled only by evolution. First you talk about people feeling better. Caring about others is a great thing. Why do we care? It is not because of evolution. Being evolved animals why should we care. Animals do not care, they are only concerned with survival. If you die so be it it leaves more for me and a better chance I Can survive.

You bring the idea of logic and truth, again these are good things. Yet in a world of evolution neither can exist. Logic states that knowledge can only come from knowledge. So if we are just re0re-arranged pond scum where did the knowledge come from? Just like words in a book DNA is knowledge. yet people say it happened by accident a random act of chance. That cannot produce anything that is logical. Which leads us to truth, how you have absolute truth if we al have our own truth. My truth is what I believe, after all my thoughts are just random chemical reactions in my brain. MY reactions are quite different than yours so my truth is different that yours. So in reality there is no truth.

In world created by God all these can exists. We are created in His image. With knowledge therefore we can have logic. His righteousness is written upon our hearts , therefor we have the ability to care for others. His truth is absolute, give to us in His Word.

Even in delusion, people are more productive happy and hopeful than depressed and unhappy. If truth is cold... well then not so fun. But what is the truth? Where does science prove everything? I haven't seen how before the big bang, and the big bang itself were conducted in a lab to prove it. It is a theory, and opinion, speculation from logical models, but not proven to be truth.

I am not saying religions can be proven, just that we need to all dust the cobwebs from our brains and see both sides of the story, not one.

If you were a dictator, or one of the wealthiest families in existence... wouldn't you want to protect what you had, plus keep people or the masses controlled? What is big business doing to people? What about pharmaceutical companies pushing drugs on the masses that do not cure anything? Expand your vision and you will see a much larger view.

Religion is one of those such things to control, but not the only one. There are several control systems in place to give the illusion of freedom of choice. But once in the system it becomes some what addictive, human nature with little thinking. It is how they take control, by making good argument, that people are stupid, and others know best. So many give up their will to free thinking and questioning, and allow others to have power over them.

While I see people cut on religion, they seem to miss the facts that they too are part of the system, the game. Most of us have no real clue to what is going on.

God is more than a concept to some.

what makes anything true blank truth?
Isn't every belief "created" by someone else?
Is a belief that there is NO God different(in how it was created) than a belief in God?
There is so little "true blank truth" that we can't possibly live our lives not believing ANYTHING that isn't 100% true and backed by total and complete logic.
I'm not saying that religion is true, or that it is better than atheism/agnosticism, but isn't everything a "belief" and not a fact? If this wasn't the case why would scientists disagree on things? Why would we have to choose who to vote for between candidates with different platforms? even if religion was completely erased, and everyone was a full fledged atheist, we'd still all believe different things and argue and fight against each other over who is right/wrong.
The word Logic is defined as
the science that investigates the principles governing correct or reliable inference. Or, a particular method of reasoning or argumentation.
That means LOGIC implies we're going to waste time and money on concepts someone else created, other humans I mean.
No where in the field of LOGIC is any true blank truth.
Sorry m8. In essence, though one may be "right" and one may be "wrong" in the end, atheism is a belief like any other until we can find a way to prove it either way. And that only way is death
