Why does Lady Gaga always cover her left eye?

Question

I have herd it has something to do with her being a Illuminati puppet but I don't consider that to be the most plausible theory.
This isn't a big deal I am just curious and wanted to see if anyone had some other idea's on this.
Is there any other reason she might do that?
Is it something she does to pay homage to some past entertainer or is it something she is trying to make popular?

I like the Lady's music for the most part, I like her personality better but this puzzles me.

Doubtful it is an homage to Lisa, "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC, although that's what comes to mind. I think it's just common sense, if you look like Stephani Germanotti, you cover as much of your face as possible.

I think it might be her trademark or something, or just the eye that's most comfortable for her to cover.
