Do degrees from the US "transfer" to NZ?

I am currently pursuing my masters in School Psychology and was trying to find out if this degree would work in NZ as I have a friend who has a PhD in Psychology from Denmark that cannot work as a psychologist in NZ.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Professional degrees usually don't transfer en toto. You're degree will be recognized but it can't be used to jump right into a job. Once you're in the country, in this case New Zealand, you usually have to take a few courses and complete their internship and licensing requirements. Especially with psychology, I'm sure that New Zealand's powers-that-be would like to be assured of your familiarity with their culture, language differences, etc.

You can check requirements online.
