When you go pee in a cup & then do the pregnancy test?

If the cup isn't all the way dry or all the way clean, can it effect the test? Someone told me it could & I read on the directions collect in a dry & clean cup.. so if it's just a little wet or not cleaned fully.. will it effect the results?

Well, if the cup is wet with water, it could dilute the urine. If the woman is early in her pregnancy and the water dilutes her urine, it may affect the test picking up the hcg. It's best to just dry it out with a paper towel real quick.

Typically i've found it wise to use a fresh cup. When you use the cup someone else just used, it can tarnish the results (False positives usually if your guy friends just used it before)

Possibly but I doubt it. The HcG will still be in the pee.

Just put it in your urine stream for so many seconds like the box says (get one that works that way). No worries then, right?

Technically it could but if it's not all the way dry it could dilute your urine and make it appear to have to little of HcG, the pregnancy hormone so it could give you a false positive. As for cleanliness, I just assume that that's just a good idea.

i used Dixie cups so it was clean and dry evertime.
