Would it be weird to use this name?

Question

I have a cousin who is 20 years older than I am. She moved across the country ten years ago and in that time I've seen her twice. One of the times I saw her was a few months after the birth of her daughter (who is now 7)
I haven't talked to her in the last ten years except for those two visits. The problem is when she gave birth to her daughter she used one of my absolutely favorite names(Audrey) because of this I decided to to forgo using that name when my first daughter was born 3 years ago. However I am pregnant again and I still love this name. Do you think it would be weird to use it? I haven't really narrow down my name list yet but I am really leaning toward this one.

I love that name, don't let a cousin whom you rarely see factor into it. Astrid is another beautiful name of similar ilk. :-)

I think it would be fine. You should name your daughter whatever you want. However, if you're really worried you could put that as the middle name.

No...go ahead you name your baby what you want...trust me you will regret it if you don't. PLus your the one who has to live with your daughter it should be the name you want. You shouldn't pick a name you don't like.

Hmm since she's family it is kind of weird..but it's not unheard of to have cousins that have the same names.

I would recommend to use it as a middle name on the birth certificate, and you can call her Audrey. If anyone gives you grief just be like it's her middle name!! :)

My mother and her two sisters all have sons with the same name!

Also, 7 yr old Audrey will love that she has a little cousin with the same name!

if you love the name then use it, it's not like you and her are really close. if you were very close that would be one thing, but since you're not its not a big deal

I don't think it would be weird at all. A cousin who is 20 years older than you shouldn't effect what you decide to name your child. If you love the name, go for it!

Thats my name! I'm using my sisters account, which is why it says nikki.
i loooove my name and i would suggest it to anyone. It seems like it would be fine to use it. If you like it, then why does it matter that your cousin used it? My middle name is grace and i love it, so that might be a middle name you could use.
