Where did poe say "I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity?"?

I love that quote and I can't seem to find where is is from. All I know is that it is a Edgar Allen Poe quote.

It comes from a letter he wrote to George Eveleth, Jan 4th 1848, talking about his mental state during the time his wife was suffering repeated lung hemorrhages from tuberculosis. See link.
