Tennis top Contributor Question?

I have recently joined this site and have become quite familiar with the people in it. I love browsing the tennis category, it is what I do in my spare time.

I would love to become a Top Contributor in this category and join the small group of them. Recently, though, I know a lot of people have been losing their TC Badges.

How do I become Top Contributor?

I have always wondered if Yahoo personally hand selects Top Contributors or if there is some sort of computer system that automatically selects TC's based on number or questions answered, number of best answers, or something along those lines.

I personally think it is an automatic selection based on some sort of formula because if they were all hand-picked I don't know how some got chosen. I won't name names....*cough Tenisfan cough*.


Anyways just give smart, informative answers and participate and I'm sure you will be selected.

Just participate a lot in the tennis section and eventually you'll become one. There's no exact formula to getting one. But once you do become a TC, don't be surprised if you lose your badge, as I just did (sometimes it seems to happen randomly, as Yahoo wants to reward a variety of good contributors).

Currently, only half of the top answers in this section are TCs. Also, the value of the orange badge is overrated, as it doesn't actually do anything for you in real life (besides giving you a bit of pride), so don't go crazy about it.

Why don't you ask those who register multiple accounts to vote for their own answers, have no life, and is obsessed with an orange badge?
