Any good books to read?

I am interested in books like Harry Potter (by J.K. Rowling) and Warriors (by Erin Hunter) but I've finished reading them and I'm looking for some other books like them. Don't suggest any vampire books though.

I have read Harry Potter and liked it a lot. Here are some other books I read and enjoyed:
19 minutes by Jodi Picoult- Jodi Picoult has a lot of good deep book that really make you think. This one has action and mystery in it and there are connections to things from the beginning of the book and to the end like J.K Rowling did in Harry Potter.

Eragon- I have not read this book but I hear its very good and might be a good choice if you like mythical creature/magic like books.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis- this is a series that you may have heard of the movies. It also deals with mythical creatures.

A wrinkle in time- This is a fantasy book and is good and very interesting. It's also science- fiction so you might like it.

Tuck Everlasting- This book is very good and deals with a family with a magical secret. It makes you wonder about things after you read it.

Hope this helps! :)

One of my favorite series, which I couldn't stop reading, would have to be the Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong. The first book is called The Summoning. Another series was the Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke. I also recommend any book by Michael Connelly, if you're interested in mysteries.

Sarah Dessen is a great author. Her books, This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever, Lock and Key, and Along for the Ride are really good. Cassandra Claire's books series, The Mortal Instraments, are awsome. It does have a vampire in there but its not the mian focus of the story. Those books are some of my favorites. Melissa Marr is a great writer to. Hope this is helpful.

haha, you say 'dont suggest any vampire books,' then that kiki girl says twilight,. wow.
im not sure this is clearly what your looking for but it's a pretty good book i think you should check it out.
i recently read 'ordinary people' by judith guest.
it also has a movie out too.
i think they are both very good,
it's a very dramatic story, but i like it, it's probably one of the best books i've ever read.
its about a family, of a mother, a father and two sons.
one son was killed in a boating accident before the novel.
conrad, the other son, blames himself, and tries to commit suicide by slashing his wrists. his father finds him though, and he lives.
but while he was in the hospital, his mother barely visited him.
this was actually not in the book, but the reminisce it alot.
the rest you have to read to find out ;]
its alot better of a book
    then it may sound. :]

The Tiger Princess by Sarah Renee

It has animal characters like the Warriors series and it has a lot of suspense and mystery. You can get it from Amazon.com. I hope this helps!
