Applied vinyl to a surface that was too wet?

I'm applying vinyl to the back window of my car. The first vinyl I laid down, I used soap and water. Apparently too much, because the vinyl won't stick. For the other graphics, I applied them dry and they work wonderful.

For the vinyl that won't lay down due to the surface being too wet, what should I do? Wait a few hours for it to dry before peeling the mask away from the window?

Any help would be appreciated.

If use too much soap, that is why it did not stick and take too long to dry. just use water. use a hair dryer if they don't stick. good luck
