How do you fight a wrestler?? i box?

alright ive been boxing for 7 months
and ive been in 5 street fights and sparred and had a dozen boxing matches, not amatuer just like for fun..yeah well im going to fight this kid he is like 2 inches shorter than me, im 6 ft but he is stronger. however he has only been in like 1 other fight, but he is on the wrestling team and has been for 2 years.

everyone at my gym
says to just jab him and move away when he shoots in, but one of my freinds told me its not that easy..and im not scarred of him, i just dont know what to do or how to avoid a takedown

i watched some mma fights and some wrestling matches on websites and youtube, and it looks pretty hard to avoid being takendown

any advice???

this fight is tomorow

and me and this kid got beef, he's a F#get and he thinks the same of me, basically he thinks i think im so badA## just cause i box and cause i used to get F#cked up a lot and still sometimes do, he used to sell pot all the time and shrooms but got busted know he dosent do much, and at a party a long time back. my freind accused him of stealing **** which he swore he wouldnt do, and than my freind jose is an a## and tried to fit this kid, but it was at his freinds house..none the less overtime i got involved and know we got beef, and it got even more escalated when he said i was a queer after talking to a girl he likes, i pushed him and he tried to slam my head into the wall but i moved back and was getting ready to throw at a jab and a right uppercut to his chin, and a bunch of people stopped it and the girl i was talking to, started yelling stop.. she got pissed at me and walked off

Cool story bro, but in all seriousness-

when he tries taking you down, wrap your hands under his body and lift upwards. If you do this correctly there is no way in hell he can take you down, its impossible. While you are in this position, if you feel yourself going off balance try rotate your body around him and land ontop if you fall, then just ground and pound. If you are on balance pull him towars you, let go and he should be completely off balance, then start hooking him. Seeing as wrestling is a pretty inferior grappling and ground game compared to jiu jitsu and judo, you should have no problem if your a good boxer. Just use your uppercuts an if your able to use a couple of knees

wow Daniel, way to judge people, also when the fight is about honor which this one sounds like poking eyes is a little underhanded
to our boxer, its best to anticipate that you might be taken to the ground during the fight, work with a sparing partner from the ground working on regaining your stance
